Safety Management Systems
ISO 45001 Certification
The greatest asset in any business is its people. Demonstrate that your commitment to workplace safety meets the ISO standard.
Safer Workplaces
Why get ISO 45001 Certified?
Whatever the risks involved in your industry, identifying and managing hazards, promoting a safe workplace and reducing risk are in the best interest of everyone.
An effective Occupational Health and Safety system will result in fewer accidents, greater care within the workplace and an organisation culture that promotes safe and healthy work systems. Employees who know there are systems in place that showcase commitment to their ongoing safety and wellbeing are more motivated, loyal and of greater value to the organisation they work for.
Southpac provides Safety Management Systems certification for businesses across Australia and New Zealand to meet the relevant standards.

How it works
With you, every step along the way
We take a fresh approach to certification, becoming a partner in your growth and success. Our focus is on continuous improvement for our clients’ long-term success, rather than an annual tick and flick approach.
Before
Our coordination team work tirelessly to understand your business and certification needs, from urgent proposals through to accommodating specific requests, and scheduling audits with an understanding approach.
During
You'll be assigned a Lead Auditor who will be your main point of contact throughout the process, and beyond – supporting you as you move forward to the assessment and certification of your management system.
After
Throughout the three-year certification cycle, our team will be available to support with any challenges or questions that may arise outside of the annual audit. That’s the added value of Certification Differently.
It’s not about what we find, it’s about how we deal with what we find. If the system’s broken from an audit finding, it means it’s broken for the business. It means it needs improving.

No company is bulletproof—not even the Pentagon or CIA. Everyone has been hacked at some point. While we might expect these organisations to be leaders in cybersecurity, we understand that it requires targeted effort required to do that work. That's what has changed the game.

ISO 45001 Frequently asked questions
ISO 45001:2018 is an international standard that specifies requirements for an occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system. Organisations use the standard to improve employee safety, reduce workplace risks, and create safer working conditions.
ISO 45001:2018 certification is suitable for organisations of any size or sector that aim to improve workplace safety, demonstrate a commitment to employee well-being, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Benefits of ISO 45001:2018 certification include improved workplace safety, compliance with legal requirements, reduced workplace incidents, increased employee morale, and enhanced stakeholder trust.
To begin the certification process, your organisation needs to implement an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) that complies with ISO 45001:2018 requirements. This involves designing and implementing processes and procedures that address risk management, hazard identification, and incident response to create a safer workplace.
ISO 45001:2018 certification involves two stages: Stage 1 is a documentation review, and Stage 2 is an onsite audit. Following your initial certification, your auditor will return for a surveillance audit in years 2 and 3, followed by a re-certification audit the following year to commence the cycle again.
