Loop Logics is a SaaS-based construction management software company providing solutions to insurance builders and trades across Australia and New Zealand to manage their projects from end to end. As the business grew, so did the size and expectations of its customers.
Why ISO 27001 Certification?
The Loop Logics team initially looked at different ways to strengthen their information security, including the Australian Cyber Security Centre's Essential Eight framework. However, as they began working with more Tier 1 customers, ISO 27001 certification was increasingly becoming a requirement. For the business, this presented an opportunity to not only meet customer expectations, but to build a stronger Information Security Management System (ISMS) around the way they worked.
Building security into the business
For Loop Logics, information security is more than having policies in place. Their ISMS plays an important role in making sure policies are maintained, customer systems are protected and the business has the right governance in place to manage information securely.
Achieving certification was a significant focus for the business over 6 to 12 months. The team worked through their processes and policies, brought people across the business on board and made sure the systems behind them were ready for certification.
With the company continuing to grow and more Tier 1 insurance clients coming on board, having a robust approach to information security gives both Loop Logics and its customers greater confidence.
