It’s not about what we find, it’s about how we deal with what we find. If the system’s broken from an audit finding, it means it’s broken for the business. It means it needs improving.
Krystal Fish
HSEQ Officer, NT Link
I'm using it as structure for the business, for bringing in new systems and procedures. It's a good backbone.

No company is bulletproof—not even the Pentagon or CIA. Everyone has been hacked at some point. While we might expect these organisations to be leaders in cybersecurity, we understand that it requires targeted effort required to do that work. That's what has changed the game.
Cristiano Pires
Executive Director
We enjoyed the process, and I would have to recommend it to any business that wants to strengthen themselves in the industry they are in. I think it’s a great benefit for anyone.

ISO 14001 Frequently asked questions
ISO 14001:2015 is an international standard for an Environmental Management System (EMS) used to improve environmental performance through efficient resource use and waste reduction.
ISO 14001:2015 certification is suitable for any organisation, regardless of size or sector, that aims to improve its environmental performance and demonstrate a commitment to sustainability and regulatory compliance.
Benefits include improved environmental performance, compliance with legal requirements, increased efficiency, waste reduction, enhanced stakeholder trust, and potential cost savings from efficient resource use and waste management.
The first step is to implement an Environmental Management System (EMS) that complies with ISO 14001:2015 requirements by designing processes and procedures that meet the standard's criteria. Then contact Southpac Certifications for a quote to get your system certified.
ISO 14001 certification involves two stages: Stage 1 is a documentation review, and Stage 2 is an onsite audit. Following your initial certification, the auditor will return for a surveillance audit in years 2 and 3, followed by a re-certification audit the following year to commence the cycle again.
Maintaining Environmental Management System certification requires ongoing compliance with the ISO 14001:2015 standard, including regular internal audits, annual surveillance audits and a re-certification audit every three years.
